DICE New York

Digital Illusions CE New York was a new name given to a video game developer Trauma Studios after the acquisition by Digital Illusions CE in September 2004. Being known as a creators of a popular Battlefield 1942 modification Desert Combat, members of a freshly bought studio were tasked to help in the development of Battlefield 2, with Desert Combat being a framework for the game. On June 7, 2005, two weeks before Battlefield 2 release, Digital Illusions announced that they had shut down the New York studio. In January 2006, former employees of DICE New York were hired by THQ to create a new internal development studio known as Kaos Studios.
