Each world introduces its own rules, puzzles and environmental constraints, requiring the characters to cooperate and understand how that emotion affects the world. Players can reverse gravity through the Inverted State, allowing them to walk on ceilings while transforming environmental elements, hazards, accessible paths, gameplay rules and music. The game can be played in local cooperative multiplayer or solo with an AI-controlled companion. After their parents mysteriously disappear, an older brother and his younger sister find themselves in the Sans-Dessus-Dessous, a strange universe where emotions shape reality. At its center stands the Tour des Murmures, where their parents are being held. To reach them, the two children must travel through worlds shaped by different emotions, understand the rules that govern them, and restore what has been disrupted. As they progress, they will have to rely on each other to uncover what happened to their parents and find a way to bring them home.
