When the escape turns deadly, Cayde is struck down by the exiled Awoken prince Uldren Sov, who flees into the wilds with his monstrous allies. Grief-stricken and denied the support of his fellow leaders, the Guardian sets out alone into the Tangled Shore, a barren outlaw wasteland, forging uneasy alliances to hunt down the Barons one by one and pursue the prince responsible.
