Donkey Kong Jr. for the Nintendo Entertainment System is one of the most recognizable ports of the original arcade game, being re-released and ported many times. After the events of Donkey Kong, Mario has captured Donkey Kong as revenge for kidnapping his lady friend and Donkey Kong Jr. has to save him. However, every time Donkey Kong Jr. gets close to freeing his father, Mario just pushes him further away.
