Two months after the mystery that gripped the rural town of Inaba, Yu Narukami returns to visit during the Golden Week holiday, reuniting with his old friends from the Investigation Team. Their reunion takes a strange turn when they witness a bizarre commercial on the eerie Midnight Channel advertising a fighting tournament called the P-1 Grand Prix, seemingly hosted by their companion Teddie. With several of their friends suddenly missing, the group resolves to reassemble the team and search for answers in the metaphysical TV World, a realm shaped by human hearts. Once inside, they find themselves separated and drawn into the tournament against their will. Meanwhile, agents from a Shadow-hunting organization enter the same world chasing a missing weapon of their own, setting the two groups on a collision course.
