Is it the best RE of all time? Maybe in the Top 3.
Is it the scariest RE of all time? Yes.
Does it live up to the hype? Definitely.

Amazing game, amazing sequel in the mainline series.

Capcom is pulling out all the stops. RE Requiem is a culmination of three decades of game making experience. They are using everything in their RE arsenal to make a definitive experience, for now.

I love how Capcom succeed on making new characters ever since RE7 with Ethan, and now with Grace. The character is amazing and it expands on the RE universe.

I also really like seeing the power dynamic between each characters, to show how inhuman Leon is and to show how human Grace is.

The enemies in this game, especially when you are playing as Grace, is such an unique experience to encounter. You'll get to find out that you need to use various ways to navigate through the game as Grace has no combat capabilities like Leon does.

The voice acting in RE9 has been amazing, but Grace's VA specifically deserves a shoutout, and I doubt anything this year will surpass her performance in this game for this year. Phenomenal. There are story bits that won't work as well if they don't have her VA capabilities.

"Grace is too timid for RE", "The game is too short!", "Why is there stalker style enemy in RE?". You'll see people making these comments and all I can say is you've just seen tourists yelling at the sky because clearly they are missing the points, or more likely some people just want something to get upset about.

And of course, I do have my own criticism. There is a point in this game nearing the end when it reminds me so much of RE6/RE4's Island section. It was quite ridiculous and it seems Capcom almost forgotten that both RE6 and RE4's Island section is the weakest thing about RE. Luckily it's a very short section of the game that was outshine by the rest of the game so you'd tolerate it.

All in all, if you've been a lifelong fans of RE or at least have played RE2 Remake and liked it, you need to play this game.
