While I would never consider any remake a replacement for the original, regardless of quality, execution, method, etc, if someone really does not want to experience the beauty of the original for whatever reason, this remake more than suffices. There are things I have issues with, namely the combat being too quick and "Last of Us"- like to make combat itself feel tense, very specific voice line deliveries and music changes, but none of them overshadow how genuinely brilliant this remake is. By far the biggest downside was the performance, but I'm seeing improvements and removal of UE5 stuttering in most scenarios post-launch.
