Decades of playing JRPG, countless of remastered and remake, and thought I have seen it all. Proven wrong last year with Trails 1st Chapter, and proven wrong yet again by 2nd Chapter.

This is the best game Falcom ever made. I still can't believe that a remake would become one of, if not, the best JRPG I have ever played. Amazing throughout, from top to bottom. What an amazing game. The quality of every single aspect is just so wonderful. Animation, music, voice acting, story, gameplay, all of them crafted with so much attention and love. It truly felt like a love letter for the fans.

For those who have played the original game, we already knew the story, but the game just perfectly retell the story and even if you have played the original game it still hits you nevertheless. One of the biggest aspect on why it works is that now we are relieving the story with a full blown 3D animation and also dubbed by amazing performances by the Japanese voice actors.

The original music was great, but now retouched with rearrangement and it became an amazing masterpiece.

The gameplay is as creative and tight as always. Using their staple of orbment system, but also mixed with newer quick battle system, truly brings out the richness of the game. I genuinely think that this is the best gameplay in Trails entries. I love this combat system the most. QoL is also a huge point of the game as a step to modernize the game, although I am still missing one feature that I think Trails game should have which is orbment presets as we might want to tweak our orbments setup throughout the game.

Masterpiece. One of my favourite JRPG I've ever played. A remake that's so easily loved by fans of the original series and new players alike. I am truly happy that more people are getting into this franchise.
