While it probably isn't as mechanically deep in its combat compared to 3 or 4, DMC5 is a love letter to the series and writes said letter like its someone's wedding vows. The music, the callbacks, the sound design, the best the series has ever looked and moments that encapsulate the genre at its best. Another prime example of peak gaming.
