I was so disappointed by this. I'm not a visual novel guy, but when I saw that thing happen watching someone else play, I was so surprised and caught off guard I got the game and started playing it. That moment was so dark, harrowing and made it feel so real and like one of these games was finally taking that subject matter seriously...
Then the other characters started bleeding from the eyes and doing creepypasta garbage at me the rest of the game. I was hoping for a game that tackles the serious subject matter the event brings up with some level of respect or like it even had a take on it at all, but it's used as set dressing for some gimmick meta narrative garbage that hasn't been impressive since the game "IMSCARED."
Such a let down.
