Finally got to play this masterpiece that was so hyped by the fans, and I got to say, this is probably the best FF experience I ever had.
I like how they expand the game's world and stories in the Remake. It expanded on the original game and make it more intimate. The Remake also took the opportunity to fleshed out a lot of character stories.
As in the OG FF7, they love their minigames. I don't hate it, but I don't really favor it either. I do like them up to some point. And as they are not prevalent in this Remake, I think it's quite negligible to say the least.
But the creme de la creme of this game is the combat system. I don't remember having this much fun in combat in any Final Fantasy game. I think this is the best battle system Square ever implemented in FF series. It is punchy, it got weight behind it, you can play around with your own style and build, where everyone have their own uniqueness and mastery to it.
I think playing the original FF7 is heavily suggested, because I think it will enriches your experience. There are a lot of things that you can only grasp fully by having past experience of the original game. But saying that, I have seen countless people playing this as their entry title to FF and they still have as much fun.
Really liked the game. Craving for more now.
